Contact lens application

This is the process during which a patient visits an eye specialist, receives a recommendation regarding which lenses to wear, instructions for use, and a pair of trial contact lenses. This process should always precede the purchase of a new type of contact lenses. During the application, the user learns how to handle the contact lenses properly and how to care for them. If the customer is not satisfied with the first recommended contact lenses, the optician must offer another test pair. The visit also includes determining any specific eye defect and its severity, examination of the anterior segment of the eye, stability control of the contact lenses in the eye after the deployment and evaluation of the patient's vision.
